The Anatomic Cabaret
The Anatomic Cabaret is a multidisciplinary event that tramples all over the intersections of movement and the media arts, hosted by Keith Cole with musical interventions by Hank (formerly know as the Hank Collective – Cab Williamson, Tara Azzopardi, Magali Meagher and Paige Gratland). Featured are video and live performance collusions by a motley crew of performance, music and dance artists including Cathy Gordon (performance installation Inappropriate Dancing), Christopher House (new video with nudity), Viv Moore (meta-clogging dancehall performance), RM Vaughan and Shannon Cochrane (will get you up and movin’ with Sports Bra…or else!), Pepper Highway (world premiere of Pepper’s Lost Highway), Learie McNicolls (The Box spoken word and movement), Paul Hutcheson (on the importance of the teen anthem), KIDS ON TV (premiere of new video Breakdance Hunx), Justin Lovell and Troy Feldman (premiere of troymotion stunt/break super8), ina unt ina, Laura Cowell (super8 + performance Love Me and Daddy’s Hands), and more. There will be audience participation. There will be live music. Rude words will be uttered. Obscene gestures will be more plentiful than pirouettes.
Cabaret starts at 10 pm. Tickets are $10 at the door (from 9:30pm).
